I like your point about how people who are complaining don't really know what they are complaining about. They are only complaining because its different and everybody always resists to change at first. In the end they will continue to use facebook and I would bet if in a year the old facebook came back there would be tons of complaints about that platform just because it was once again change.
Facebook made a good move though, I like the new platform.
